As a sign of joint commitment to strengthening education and digital literacy, the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia and the Embassy of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta have donated computer equipment to the Antun Gustav Matoš Foundation in Belgrade and the Parish of Saint Clement in Hrtkovci.
On 7 July 2025, the feast day of Saint John the Baptist in the Orthodox Church, the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly approved the new name of the Parliamentary Friendship Group Italy–Vatican–Sovereign Military Order of Malta.
On June 27, in the beautiful garden of the Archdiocese of Belgrade, the Embassy of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta in Serbia held its official National Day ceremony, marking the Feast of its Patron Saint, St. John the Baptist.
On May 14, a meeting was held at the Embassy of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta in Belgrade, presided over by H.E. Ambassador Francesco M. Amoruso. He was joined by Minister-Counselor Nenad Prokić and Counselor Stefano Podavini, along with representatives of the LDS Church of Jesus Christ—A. Sarager, Marcinelle Sarager, and Mr. Davide Lotito, Head of the European Office.
On Tuesday, April 29, at the Magistral Palace of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta in Rome, Hon. J. Palalic, member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and President of the Friendship Group with Italy and the Holy See, accompanied by H.E. Francesco M. Amoruso, Ambassador to Serbia for the Order of Malta, and Embassy Counselor Stefano Podavini, met with H.E. Ambassador Giampaolo Cantini, Order's Secretary General for Foreign Affairs.

A nightclub fire in the Macedonian town of Kocani, which occurred between March 14 and 15, claimed the lives of 59 people and left 155 injured. In the wake of this tragic event, on the morning of March 19, Ambassador Francesco Maria Amoruso visited the Embassy of the Republic of North Macedonia in Belgrade to express his solidarity and that of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, signing the book of condolences.
The Embassy of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta to the Republic of Serbia proudly upheld its tradition of partnering with the Karadjordjevic Royal Family for the Christmas season. This year, responding to an invitation from H.R.H. Crown Princess Katherine, the Embassy participated in the Christmas Reception.
On Saturday, December 14th, Hon. Jovan Palalić, President of the Friendship Group with Italy and with Vatican in the Serbian Parliament, visited the Embassy of the Order of Malta in Belgrade for an exchange of holiday greetings.
