The Embassy of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta in Serbia, in cooperation with the Dante Alighieri Society of Vranje, was pleased to support the participation in the Apulia region of the musical ensemble “Branko” from the city of Leskovac, recently designated Serbia’s Capital of Culture.
Through the programme “The Musical Sources of the Balkans,” the ensemble “Branko” took the audience on a musical journey that reflects the history, identity, and spirit of the Serbian people.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to promote cultural dialogue and foster friendship among peoples through the appreciation and promotion of artistic and musical traditions, celebrating music as a universal language of dialogue and peace.
The concerts were held on 18 February at the Garibaldi Theatre in Bisceglie and on 19 February at the Auditorium of the “G. Tarantino” High School in Gravina di Puglia.
The initiative received the commendation of the Embassy of Serbia in Italy and of Ambassador Sima Avramović, accredited to the Holy See and the Order of Malta.
