A nightclub fire in the Macedonian town of Kocani, which occurred between March 14 and 15, claimed the lives of 59 people and left 155 injured. In the wake of this tragic event, on the morning of March 19, Ambassador Francesco Maria Amoruso visited the Embassy of the Republic of North Macedonia in Belgrade to express his solidarity and that of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, signing the book of condolences.
On the feast of St. Joseph, Ambassador F. M. Amoruso, accompanied by his Minister-Counselor N. Prokic, attended Holy Mass at the Jesuit church of St. Peter in Belgrade, following an invitation from the Croatian Embassy. St. Joseph has been the patron saint of Croatia since 1867 and is therefore also the patron of the Croatian minority in the Republic of Serbia. After the service, an engaging evening took place at the Croatian Cultural Center “Antun Gustav Matos”, featuring a choral performance, poetry readings, and closing remarks by the Minister-Counselor of the Croatian Embassy, Mr. Ivan Zeno-Pivac.
On the evening of March 20, the Tunisian Embassy organized a splendid concert at the National Theatre in Belgrade. Titled “Orchestral Odyssey – Carthage Meets Belgrade,” the event featured a captivating blend of traditional Arabic music interwoven with Serbian compositions.
