In the afternoon of June 27, Ambassador Francesco Maria Amoruso attended the Holy Mass at the Co-Cathedral of Christ the King in Belgrade, which was concelebrated by HE Mons. Ladislav Nemet, Archbishop of Belgrade, and 36 bishops on the occasion of the Council of the Bishops’ Conferences of Europe.

On June 28, Archbishop and Metropolitan of Belgrade, Mons. Ladislav Nemet, met with the Ambassador of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta at the Archdiocesan Ordinariate. The ambassador was accompanied by his advisor, Stefano Podavini. This being the new ambassador’s first official visit to the archdiocese, he toured the Ordinariate building and learned about its history. The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere, with discussions centered on the activities of the Archdiocese of Belgrade and the Catholic Church in Serbia. Both parties expressed satisfaction with the past collaboration between the Archdiocese and the Order of Malta, and they highlighted their commitment to strengthening this partnership in both cultural and humanitarian efforts going forward.
