In the beautiful setting of the garden of the Archiepiscopal Residence in Belgrade, the National Day of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta in Serbia was celebrated on the occasion of the Feast of Saint John the Baptist, the Order’s patron saint.
On 16 May, we had the privilege of welcoming His Excellency, the newly appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Serbia, to the Embassy for a courtesy visit.
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for an in-depth exchange of views on the current situation in Ukraine and the devastating consequences of the ongoing conflict, with particular attention to its humanitarian impact and the protection of the country's historical, cultural, and spiritual heritage.
A cooperation agreement has been signed for the implementation of the project “Comprehensive Support to the Homeless in Belgrade,” funded by the Order of Malta Donors for Projects (OMDP), a centralized foundation established by the Sovereign Military Order of Malta (SMOM). The agreement was concluded between the Embassy in Belgrade, acting as the donor and contracting party, and ADRA Serbia, which will serve as the implementing partner.
