On the morning of November 6, Ambassador Francesco Maria Amoruso, accompanied by Dr. Alessandro Grassini, was received by H.E. Ambassador Sima Avramovic at the Embassy’s office in Rome. The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, covering topics ranging from international politics to cultural matters, with a particular focus on relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Order of Malta.

Ambassador Avramovic expressed great interest and full support for active collaboration on cultural initiatives. He especially appreciated the idea of issuing a commemorative stamp with Serbian Post in 2025 to mark the 140th anniversary of the Order of Malta’s donation of a hospital train to the Kingdom of Serbia during its war with the Principality of Bulgaria. This would be an excellent opportunity to strengthen ties between the Order and the Republic of Serbia, while also highlighting the Embassy’s humanitarian initiatives in the country. The meeting concluded with both Ambassadors committing to meet again soon in Belgrade.
