The infection was treated by puncture, immobilization and traction, while the hip dislocation was treated by Pavlik harness. A consequence of the infection was the condition of right leg shortening (primarily the femur), as well as deformity of the hip.<!--more--><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_6107\" style=\"width: 352px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/orderofmalta.org.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/fullsizeoutput_866a.jpeg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6107\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-6107\" src=\"http:\/\/orderofmalta.org.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/fullsizeoutput_866a-342x480.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"342\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-6107\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Tipico \u201cMake a WISH&#8221;<\/p><\/div>\n<p>At the age of nine, at the University Children\u2019s Clinic in Belgrade, the first surgical treatment was induced, implying the correction of the shortening and deformity of the right femoral neck (resulting from neonatal osteomyelitis of the right hip).<br \/>\nAt that time, the diagnoses was: progressive shortening and deformity of the femur.<br \/>\nOther four hospitalizations, the last one in June 27th 2017 when the fixator and \u201cforeign bodies\u201d (wedges) were removed from the right leg, because the elongation was successfully completed free of deformities (the right leg is by 2.5 cm longer than the left one).<br \/>\nCurrent situation: considering Sandra\u2019s age ( she is at the age of 11 now), two to three operations need to be performed in the forthcoming period, for correction of the bone length, because her growth has not ended yet.<br \/>\nDuring that time, the patient shall be monitored at the General Hospital \u201cSava Surgery\u201d by paediatricians, orthopaedists, physiatrists and radiologists, in order to make a timely decision on continuation of the surgical-orthopaedic treatment.<br \/>\nWe are now trying to find funds for the two upcoming operations at least.<\/p>\n","news_gallery":"no","news_gallery_elements":false,"news_excerpt":""},"news_categories":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/serbiaembassy.orderofmalta.int\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/notizie\/4042","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/serbiaembassy.orderofmalta.int\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/notizie"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/serbiaembassy.orderofmalta.int\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/news"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/serbiaembassy.orderofmalta.int\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/notizie\/4042\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/serbiaembassy.orderofmalta.int\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=4042"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
