The Order will demonstrate its support through an important project titled \u201c<strong><em>Make a WISH to the Sovereign Order of Malta<\/em><\/strong>\u201d (please select RULE BOOK 2017 on the website homepage for further details), but also through a planned initiative in the spirit of the traditional trait of humanitarian, social and patient advocacy, characteristic for the mission of the\u00a0<em>Order of Malta<\/em>\u00a0and our multiannual presence in Serbia.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In fact, we shall promptly proceed with the programme \u201c<strong><em>A hot meal in a cold winter<\/em><\/strong>\u201d, which shall continue throughout the long Balkan winter.<\/p>\n<p>At the talks held at the Embassy of the\u00a0<em>Order of Malta<\/em>\u00a0in Belgrade, the Ambassador Alberto di Luca and Mrs. Danijela Stajkovi\u0107, the director of the\u00a0<em>Shelter for Children<\/em>, and her associate Mr. Nenad Vasiljevi\u0107, a social worker, discussed the pace and method of implementation of this humanitarian initiative.<\/p>\n<p>We shall support the\u00a0<em>Shelter for Children<\/em>\u00a0which takes care of the most sensitive categories of young people coming from all over Serbia, aged 7 to 18, some of whom are victims of violence, abuse and neglecting, victims of human trafficking, children deprived of parental care and\/or street children.<\/p>\n<p>Those are everyday dramatic and strenuous tragedies, painfully shared by many countries of our \u201ccivilised\u201d Europe.<\/p>\n<p>In its 58 years of work, the\u00a0<em>Shelter for Children <\/em>took care of \u00a080 000 children.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, a Charity-Dinner was organised in Milan, thanks to the concern of Mrs. Ulrike Natus Ruggieri, attended by friends coming from Italy, France and Monaco who raised funds to aid the Shelter\u2019s users until late spring.<\/p>\n","news_gallery":"no","news_gallery_elements":false,"news_excerpt":""},"news_categories":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/serbiaembassy.orderofmalta.int\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/notizie\/4023","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/serbiaembassy.orderofmalta.int\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/notizie"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/serbiaembassy.orderofmalta.int\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/news"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/serbiaembassy.orderofmalta.int\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/notizie\/4023\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/serbiaembassy.orderofmalta.int\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=4023"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
